June 29, 2020 Brainstorm is a movie I want to rate up but can't. Now I still regard ' Brainstorm' as a very good sci-fi film, but was disappointed with this copy because of the film aspect ratio.

Given the troubled production this movie had going, it's no surprise that there's a whole "let's just finnish this quickly" vibe going by, which is a shame cause this had the potential to have something special going like, say, Altered States for a broader audience. For me it spoils it because you either watch it with the bars all around or alter the ratio on the TV so it's a more suitable fit. But when people involved bring their personal problems into the equation, it becomes dangerous - perhaps deadly. This is distracting to say the least, and was not made clear in the product description.
